We at NJSACC, want to always remember and pay homage to those colleagues that spent their professional lives caring for and nurturing the development of our youth in the afterschool and summer learning spaces.

For over 18 years, Jermaine was a pillar of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County, serving in roles such as Site Coordinator, Gym Lead, Basketball Coach, and Teen Director. Known by everyone, Jermaine was more than an employee—he was a mentor, a role model, and a friend to countless youth and staff.

Jermaine brought a big heart, joy, laughter, and compassion to every interaction. He was always thinking of ways to uplift those around him, and his presence lit up every room. His legacy of kindness, mentorship, and love for his community will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Jermaine will be profoundly missed and always remembered.

Ms. Barbara was a cherished member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County for over 15 years, known for her dedication to teaching and her unwavering passion for working with youth. Her cooking classes were a highlight for so many, as she shared her love for the kitchen while teaching valuable life skills and building confidence in her students. She participated in the annual Club Chef Challenge every year with joy and enthusiasm, inspiring countless young chefs. In her honor, the Club Chef Challenge award has been renamed the Barbara Neely Spoon Award, a tribute to her legacy and love for teaching.

Ms. Barbara’s influence was felt by everyone who knew her—youth, families, and staff alike. She had a gift for connecting with people and encouraging them to see their full potential. Through her kindness, wisdom, and genuine love for her work, she touched countless lives, leaving a legacy that will forever be a part of the Boys & Girls Clubs community. She will be deeply missed but always remembered.
